Current and Voltage Transformer?<\/h2><p>Current transformers are manufactured because measuring high currents with measuring instruments is expensive. They are connected in series with the electrical circuit. The secondary winding cuts the magnetic field created by the current flowing through the current transformer&#8217;s primary winding, creating a cyclic current in the secondary winding. A measuring instrument connected in parallel with the secondary winding measures the current flowing through the primary circuit.
