What is Current and Voltage Transformer?

Current transformers were produced because measuring high currents with measuring instruments is expensive. It is connected in series to the electrical circuit. When the secondary winding cuts off the magnetic field created by the current passing through the primary winding of the current transformer, a cyclic current occurs in the secondary winding. The amount of current passing through the primary circuit is measured with a measuring device connected in parallel to the secondary winding. The value to be read on the measuring instrument connected to the secondary winding end is the ratio of the primary winding current to the transformer cycle current. While current is flowing through the primary winding of such transformers, the secondary winding end should never be left idle, otherwise the secondary winding of the transformer will be damaged. Electrical breakers (fuse, etc.) are not used for protection in the secondary winding.
